Biking around Buenos Aires is nice and fun, but you must take some precautions. There are no restrictions for riding bicycles on streets and avenues, but it can be dangerous since, depending on the time and the area, there can be a lot of traffic and drivers aren't too patient with cyclists. We recommend that you use the bike-trails located in the Bosques de Palermo, Costanera, Parque Thays, Av. Figueroa Alcorta and Avenida Libertador.

Basílica de La Virgen de Luján:
The city of Luján lies
67 km (41 miles)
west of the City of Buenos Aires and houses this
impressive temple. The Basilica, declared Historical National Monument in
1998, is located in Av. San
Martin 1, opposite the Plaza Belgrano.
Its
construction began in 1887 and concluded in 1935.
The
towers are
106 meters (350 feet) high
and the
interior is Gothic French style, with a
wonderful vitreaux and seven aisles.
The most visited site inside the Basílica is
- without doubt - the
Virgin Mary. Every year, in the first
week of October,
thousands of people walk from different points of the city toward the
basilica as a spiritual commitment and motive.
In the proximities of the
Basilica
there are other places
of interest
such as the
Transportation Museum,
Luján's
Cabildo (old government house)

Colonia del Sacramento (República
Oriental del Uruguay):
This small city was founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and was
the
stage
of the
biggest
geopolitical conflict of the
Río de la Plata. Its
streets are very narrow and
crooked and are
covered
with stones. The company

provides ferry services between
the ports of Buenos Aires and Colonia.
The trip
takes aproximately one hour (fast boat) or three hours
(slow boat)
and
the price is $60 and $100
each way.

El Tigre
Delta
: It is located in the north
of Buenos Aires,
32 km
(21 miles) away from the city center and it
is the
starting
point to hundreds of islands that form the Delta of the
Paraná in
its outlet to

Río de la Plata,

fruit

Parque de la Costa:
This amusement park was inaugurated in 1997, and is located
next to the Delta Station.
It is entertaining for kids and adults with rides,
mimes, clowns, dancers
and laser shows.

Casino de Tigre Trilenium:
This casino is
located between the Parque de la Costa
and the fruit market,
only 30 minutes
away from the City of Buenos Aires.
